About the Band
Band of Gold is one of the UK's top function and festival bands playing a mixture of mainstream and traditional jazz, lounge jazz, swing, bossa novas, blues and rock & roll.
For private parties, weddings, corporate events or any other special occasions they'll also play all your favourites from the 60's, 70's and 80's.
When Jeremy Huggett formed the band in 1997, he wanted a band that played mainly jazz, blues and swing, and a wide range of other music to appeal to everyone's musical tastes.

The Devon based band is led by young virtuoso Jeremy Huggett. A recent UK award winner for best reed player, Jeremy clearly demonstrates his skill and maturity on all the saxophones, flute, vocals and keyboards.
Jeremy is joined by the formidable rhythm section of Steve Dow on guitar, the superb bass lines of Tony Mann and the driving, yet sympathetic, drumming of Brian Clarke.
With the emphasis on entertainment, and playing at a volume sympathetic to the occasion, Jeremy and the band pride themselves on a professional approach to their music, presentation and appearance.

Although based in Devon, the Band is prepared to travel anywhere in the UK and abroad.

They have also appeared at all the major jazz festivals including Bude, Birmingham, Keswick, Cork and the Old Duke Jazz Festival in Bristol.
They are no strangers to the studio either, having recorded 6 CDs, appeared live on BBC radio and launched BBC Music Live (2000) on BBC National Television. They have also had extensive airplay on BBC Radio Devon, BBC Radio Cornwall, Devon-based Gemini FM, and Somerset-based Apple FM.
